Summer 2015

Happy Summer everyone!

The summer months are upon us.  Life at Pine Hill is getting back on track and returning to a new ‘normal’.

Rev. Dr. Charles Packer arrived at Pine Hill on May 3rd and we are all so happy that he has found a new home here at Pine Hill.  It is so nice that we now have a permanent minister!

When Rev. Dr. Mark Jensen attended his last Coordinating Board meeting he reminded us to be open to change and new ideas.  He suggested we make a new Welcome Packet for visitors to Pine Hill, let visitors know how to become a member, consider a new hymnal that would encourage young people, have information about the various boards and groups and who is welcome.  His suggestions were given to help us grow and become the best we can be.  With the guidance of Rev. Dr. Charles Packer we will continue to work on improving Pine Hill and making this a warm and inviting place of worship for all.

On June 7th we will have our Teacher and Music Appreciation Day to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Christian Ed teachers, Leslie Lind, Linda Kuopus, and the assistance of Sue Welcome, and our wonderful music director, Lauren Fuller, and Pianist, Irena Steyman.  On June 14th we will celebrate the high school graduation of Will Rodriguez.  Be sure to join us for these two special Sundays.

I want to encourage each of you to stop and think about what Pine Hill means to you and if you have any suggestions on improvements or change please let Charles or I know. Pine Hill is not only our place of worship it is like our family.  Pine Hill is a very special place!

Have a most wonderful summer everyone!

In Peace,
